Remember when we told you that the Samsung EK-GN120 was likely going to be the successor of the first generation Galaxy Camera, which was released in 2012, but today we have found out that the EK-GN120 is a completely different device. The product name of the device is GN100/120 and not GC100/120 – GC stands for Galaxy Camera. This will probably mean that the product is categorized as a NX device. Last year there were already rumors that the company would release at least two new NX models running on the Android operating system in 2013.
We don’t know much about the specifications of the device, although it seems that it will at least feature a 20-megapixel sensor. The leaked photo also shows us that the lens is interchangeable. It will be interesting to see how a high-end camera with Android will pan out.
Samsung has scheduled an event on June 20th and it seems plausible that the company will unveil this new Galaxy NX Camera during this event.
