Samsung has been quite busy this year with lauching an awful lot of different Android smartphones, and it seems that the end still isn’t in sight. Last week @evleaks already made it clear that the third Project J handset, known as Samsung Serrano (SGH-I257), is coming to the American carrier AT&T, but while some expected that this would be the Galaxy S4 Mini, it actually seems that it is a completely different device.
In last April we already confirmed that the Galaxy S4 Mini (GT-I9190) would feature a super-amoled display with a qHD (960 x 540 pixel) resolution, these specifications simply don’t match with the UAProf that we discovered on the Samsung website today. The Samsung Serrano (SGH-I257) for AT&T has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, which is quite a bit higher than the display of the Galaxy S4 Mini, although we don’t know the size of the display just yet.
So it seems that this will be another new Samsung device with mid-range specifications. We expect to have more information about this device later this month.
